  • MoMo Session On Technology In Bollywood

    Mobile Monday Ahmedabad has organized a session to unveil the technology mantras behind the entertainment Industry.
    Mr. Siddhesh Bhobe, CEO of eMee and AVP of Persistent Systems Ltd – a leading player spearheading the role of technology in the entertainment industry, will conduct the interactive talk. The session will highlight how Mobility, Big Data and Social Media have been helping out Indian Movies in reaching INR 500 Crores in revenue. This interactive session will be held on Saturday, 23rd Aug 2014 at CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad between 03:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Like all Mobile Monday sessions, the event is open for all and registration is free at the Mobile Monday website.

    The influence of technology is rising in all spheres of business and commerce including the entertainment industry. Through use of Big Data Analytics, Social Media and Mobility, Mr. Siddhesh and his team have created a huge impact in the success of big banner productions including King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’. They were also the brain behind Mr. Perfectionist Amir Khan’s much talked television debut series ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Their most recent project is on the verge of release and is already creating huge impact across the nation – the highly awaited action sequel of the famous director-action superstar Jodi where the lead character plays the role of a lion hearted brave police officer.

    Mr. Siddhesh graduated from IIT Mumbai in 1998 and joined Persistent Systems Ltd in Pune and went on to become the President & CEO of eMee – a digital and new technologies arm of Persistent Systems. eMee helps Bollywood and Hollywood production houses with their Social Engagement Analytics, which includes Consulting for End to End Social Media Strategy, measurement and monitoring of social media trends along with User behavior tracking and analysis.

    Mobile Monday Ahmedabad Inaugural Seminar

    The 107th Chapter of the Global phenomenon Mobile Monday has kicked off in an emphatic fashion. MoMo Ahmedabad event saw a vibrant representation from all members of the eco-system. The powerful speaker panel ensured that all the 102 Mobile Enthusiasts had an enriching evening. The topic of the Inaugural Event was “Mobile Ecosystem & Trends In Gujarat”.

    Mobile ecosystem is fast expanding in Gujarat with numerous mobile companies and developers mushrooming across the state. MOMO Ahmedabad will provide a much needed platform to the Mobile community of the state of Gujarat to share the current trends and practices in Mobile Domain. The first speaker of the evening was Mr. Kesava Reddy, Founder MoMo Bangalore, who is running this chapter for 3 years. He told us about the importance of such a platform for the mobile community and how it is useful for IT firms as well as the Developers as an individual.

    The next speaker for the evening was a very well known personality Shri Devang Nanavati, Partner – Nanavati & Sons and the Finalist of Lead India contest by Times of India. He spoke on the “Impact of Mobile on Business & Life”. Though a non technical person he explained the Impact of Mobile phenomenon on the life of an Individual and a business entity in a very prolific manner.

    Then it was the turn of Mr. Jay Ruparel, Executive Director & COO, Azure Knowledge Corporation. The Techno Entrepreneur spoke about the Global Trends in the Mobile Industry today. He presented some interesting facts and figures like, on average how much time a person spends on Mobile and specifically on social media sites. He described the Opportunities and Challenges facing the Mobile Industry and how one can en-cash the opportunities and overcome the challenges.

    The next speaker was Shri Anand Virani, Senior Business Development Manager at Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd. Having 12 years of wireless industry experience across the industry value-chain he was an ideal speaker for the event. Mr. Anand virani portrayed a picture of wireless Industry in the light of 3G rollout in India. He also gave some future insights about how the Mobile Industry is going to shapeup after the 3G rollout.

    Shri Ravi Saxena, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat gave his insights about The Mobile Ecosystem – Vision For Future. He described the importance of innovation and localization in creating value addition. According to him, DNA is the core area for growth of mobility – Devices, Networks and Apps. Devices are increasing their penetration via aggressive pricing, smart features and good distribution. 3G Network is here. Cloud is creating opportunities. And finally, Apps are everywhere – innovative, personal and thoughtful. The Perfect Storm is here. There could be lot of opportunities leveraging cloud based delivery of services on mobile. “This is the era of innovation and innovative thinking is at its best when it is done in your own language.” Shri Ravi Saxena added.
